Anybody upgrade their server today? I'm about to after cabon copy clone finishes, if its anything like older server upgrades I'm really nervous.

For those who have done it, smooth sailing, or catastrophe?

Wondering what the reasons are TO upgrade. Haven't seen a list of any new features yet. Personally I'm probably waiting a bit unless there is something exciting in there.

Well I almost was ready to reply how everything went well, but then I noticed my time machine would not backup nor could I connect to my network shares.

Extremely frustrating now. Apple support forums is riddled with people with the same problem, including those with fresh installs.

I was able to fix my file sharing problem by running the following terminal commands:
sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.AppleFileServer.plist

sudo serveradmin start afp

I was just starting to poke around with using profiles on my fleet of 15 MacBooks at the office on 10.8.5 Server. I added a shared printer to be pushed over profile manager and my 10.9 client wouldn't pick it up. It also won't load the profile manager webpage or the user portal, which means now that I've deleted the profile from the client, I can't re-enroll it.

My concern is that if I want to continue to use the profile manager I'll have to update all the clients (plus Server) or stay on 10.8.5. Based on the link above, I'll be waiting a bit for that to happen.

I upgraded to Mavericks last night on both my Mac Mini (server) and Macbook Pro. This morning I couldn't get my Macbook to login. Then I thought oh hey I probably need to update server. I was then very disappointed to find out that server costs 19.99. I was expecting a free upgrade like Mavericks. The only reason I upgraded was because it was free. So I went ahead and paid the 20 and downloaded it. After that I was able to login.

A little bit ago I was trying to do something on the MBP requiring administrator access and it wouldn't take my password. I tried rebooting. After doing so I couldn't login again. Checked my network account server and everything seems good. After messing around for awhile I logged out of my Mini. After doing so I was able to log back in on the MBP. I logged out again and logged back into the Mini and low and behold I can no longer log back in on the MBP.

Don't know why I can't log into both machines. I have mobile accounts set up so there shouldn't be any issues. I also noticed that it can't sync my mobile accounts.

All this is with just upgrading the machines to Mavericks. I may end up doing fresh installs, but I really want to avoid that.

The problem I'm experiencing is VPN related. I can't connect a Mavericks machine or iOS 7 to my Mavericks Server. It worked just fine before and now it won't make the connection. Now, I can use a Mavericks machine to connect to another Mountain Lion Server but anything Mavericks to Mavericks won't work. It's been an issue being thrown around on Apple's Support pages as well.

Is anyone else's VPN not working? If it didn't work, did anyone find a fix? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Running server 3 for two days with no issues. Pretty simple setup just running time machine, file sharing, iTunes and bit torrent.
