I'm currently not an ATT customer, but was waiting until the iPhone is out to switch to them. Employees where I work get a small discount on service through ATT if we shop and buy through ATT's little only store for our company. Anyone know how I'll be able to get this discount if I have to activate the iphone through iTunes?

There are no discounts for the iPhone i believe. Unless it's just for the iPhone, and not the service to.

Since you can only get the discount by ordering through your coporate store, and the iPhone is not yet available in corporate channels, the only way to do this is to go to the store, buy the phone, put it on an individual plan, and show your corporate ID to get the discount applied.

However, corporate discounts don't apply to data plans, so they might well not apply to the all in one iPhone plans either.

That's interesting. We get 28% off service and all of the many reps I've spoken to state that corporate discounts (not ours specifically, but all corporate discounts) are voice-only.

Our discount is lower (~20%), but applies to both voice and data.

We got an email at work a few weeks ago telling us that the employee discount on hardware and service did not apply to people using the iPhone. Dunno if that'll be everywhere, or just us, or if this was actual info given to us from AT&T or a guess by someone in our HR department. We're a gov't agency, on a side note.

Just passing along what I've heard here.

For existing customer would do they mean customers still under the 2 year contract? I'm past my 2 year contract, but still using their wireless plan.
