Hi:

I hate to admit this, but last year, I actually lost an iPhone. I went a couple months w/o.... but RAZRs suck, and I bought a new iPhone last week.

Well, I do not want to loose one again. But if I do, I want to be ready.

Is there a way to make the initial screen on power up have my name and contact information? I know BB's have this, and seems like a silly oversight on the iPhone. It also seems to me to be an easy thing to do, if one had the programing skills.

But until something is programed in, it seemed like if I put in an image with my name and phone number, that would suffice. So how should I do this?

Create the jpg, sync it through itunes onto your iphone then set it as wallpaper...not exactly what you want but until a better idea comes along...

Iphone boot changer

if you have a jailbroken iphone you an install logome from cydia and make a image in paint save it as a .png file and then sync it with iphone and use logome to set it a the boot screen. for more info on logome type logome into google.

also put a pass lock on the iphone so other people can not use u iphone.

get a mobile me subscription and use Find My iPhone with 3.0 next time you lose it.

There are also some apps in the app store that will let you pick a wallpaper then it will save it with your info on top of it.
