Is there anyway I can get notifications for song when I switch to it? I listen to a lot music from playlists, or on shuffle, and I don't always know the name of a certain song. What I want is for the song title to pop up in a transparent window so that I don't need to open iTunes each time I switch a song.

A good example is what happens with iTunes while running WoW, if that helps anybody. Is there a way to replicate that on my desktop?

There are a few programs that will do this, and Quicksilver and Growl jump to mind as the free options. I've enabled Quicksilver to give song notifications, and it works really well.

That would be my suggestion.

I downloaded Quicksilver but don't use it much. I also downloaded the iTunes plugin and selected "show notifications" but it isn't doing what I wanted it to. In fact, its not doing anything at all that I can notice. Can anybody give me some help?
