Setting issue with iPhone 8

I have an iPhone 8 that won’t send green texts. They keep saying they are not delivered. What setting might it be that is causing my issue? I did just get back from a trip and the phone was in airplane mode with cellular off as we were on a cruise ship part of the time. I can make calls etc fine when not on WiFi and can send blue texts. Everything else seems to work.

Make sure you actually send them to a phone number rather than an email address which works for iMessage (blue). Give Apple a call rather than drive to a store if the issue persists.

If you were traveling you should turn off your phone and turn it back on.

Blue texts are being sent using iMessage.

Do your unsent messages contain pictures?
