I'm about to migrate an email service to the Lion server I'm using - have searched everywhere online but no joy - has anyone any guides they can recommend or pointers?

I haven't seen anything online, but Peachpit Press has a 10.7 Server Essentials book you can purchase. It's aimed at those looking to get an ACTC and chapter 8 a great section on setting up 10.7 as a Mail Server with webmail.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Maybe someone else has a good online guide. If you have a more specific question please let me know.

Thanks, think I'll just have to pull the trigger on a few books...

Only thing at the moment I really need to check is sharing access to mailboxes - this scenario is this...

Each user will have an inbox which will remain private, but we would like to be able to share various subfolders between certain users..

Is this possible?

Alternatively is there some software whereby we could extract the emails into a document management type system?

I was just about to make a thread asking about this. I actually have the Peachpit Press Lion Server Essentials book, and it's completely unhelpful. The part about email server is totally a high level overview and lacks useful specifics.

Try mailserv

Tried for ages with lion server and admin tools without success to get a mail system up and running.

Bought mailserv and was up and running in minutes.
