Hi guys and gals,

I'm currently thinking of setting up a home entertainment system, this will primarily be made up of a HDTV, ADM9 Multi Media Loudspeakers (my father is a audiophile).Apple Mini, Xbox 360 (with HD DVD add on) and an external hard drive for extra storage for the mac.

I really wanted to know what are the best HDTV which are good to set up with this sort of system, I know the Sony Bravia come with a D-Sub 15 pin connector, do most HDTV's come with this sort of connector? Is this the best way to do this?

Also I know this this isn't a HDTV enthusiasts forum, but any commendation as too a good LCD HDTV? I'm looking to spend (top-whack) £2000 (around $4000).

Any help would be much appreciated, links, feedback, etc.

Thanks,

William

go for HDMI (with a DVI converter for the mini) or DVI. Most LDC/Plasma tvs these days wont accept 1080p from an analogue source.

DVI-DVI and DVI-HDMI are very common cables this days. your local electronics/computer store should have them.

But it might be difficult to find one for less than $80 at the chain stores. My local compusa has the $100 gold plated Monster cables on full view, with the $30 cheap cables hidden on the back of a stand in the corner ... and the last time I looked, the stand was empty.

Even $30 is too much. You don't need to spend more than $20 - this even means no need to buy an adapter.

Thanks for the link :)
I found the UK price for: £16.95, which is great.
Any suggestions as to a good HD TV?
