Hi folks
After installing an SSD on my old mini (2006) the fan problem appeared.
Meaning that even if the surface temperature of my mini is much lower than it used to be, the fan speeds up right after I open more than a tab on firefox (no prob with Safari, Opera stands in the middle). For most other tasks (movie, word, etc) the mac is ok.
I know that firefox use a lot of cpu and RAM
I know that this is a widely reported problem (especially on iMacs) following HDD substitution, because somehow the T sensor monitoring the disk is "disrupted".

Today I have installed Macs Fan Control (please remember that I can use only tools compatible with 10.6.8 and 32bit) and this is the output
Screenshot%202015-08-29%2013.42.59.png

1) ... the ambient temperature is NOT 43 but 28C.
2) what should I use a reference, diode or heatsink or ...?
3) "automatic" or "custom" control? "Fixed speed" (i.e. 3k) or "based on the cpu" (range?)
I'm somehow keen in using fixed speed but ... I don't want to melt anything inside when the surface is less than warm.

Thanks in advance
