I was using this guide to set up SDL and try experimenting with it, but I can't seem to find the templates folder for Xcode in Leopard.

http://lazyfoo.net/SDL_tutorials/lesson01/mac/xcode/index.php

Here is what the readme file says...

We have provided 4 different kinds of SDL templates for Xcode.
We recommend you copy each of the template folders to:
/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Project Templates/Appllcation (for system-wide)
or
~/Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Project Templates/Appllcation (for per-user)

Now, I can't find those folders ANYWHERE on my Mac, and I'm guessing it's because Xcode is a bit different on Leopard. The tutorial has me using the templates, so I'd really like to figure out to get it set up. I feel stupid for not being able to do something so simple, but I can't get the templates to show up in Xcode and those directories the readme file gives me don't exist on my computer. I even tried making those directories, but it still didn't do anything. Does anyone know how to get the templates installed on the new Xcode?

Ok, I tried that too and it still isn't showing up in the new project window. I created all the directories that weren't there, no luck.

I'd hate to start learning this stuff on Windows because I can't freakin' get this to show up. I am really starting to dislike Xcode. I'm just a beginner programmer and using DevC++ has been much easier and simpler, but I prefer OS X over XP. So I'd really like to get this figured out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That works fine for Xcode 3 which I assume you are using. If not then the documentation is accurate you just need to create them yourself.

Also remember that you need to put the templates in their own folder, so you would have the path I posted earlier and then you put in the SDL Application template folder. Do not take the files out of the folder.

Ok, it just worked, I double checked the directory you gave me and tried it again and it worked. Thanks, I have no idea why it didn't work before! Awesome!
