I can’t remember what I did last year. Any reason not to just use the new sim in my XS and toss the old one from my X? Handing down X to daughter, so I will switch her sim from 7+ into the X.

Some have suggested that if you turn the phone off and insert the sim, you don't get the $30 fee.

I don’t really care about the activation fee, so if there isn’t another reason to use my old sim, I’m cool. Seems like all pertinent info is contained in my backup anyway.

Every year I say this, and every year I forget... thin out and delete unused apps before backing up old phone! It’s going to take new one about a year to restore from backup. LOL
