settings for Spiderman 2?

Hey guys,
I'm playing Spiderman 2 on my new MBP 256mb, and I'm surprised at how badly it runs. Whenever there is a view that (even behind buildings) would take in the whole city, it is crazy choppy. I've tried lowering the resolution, the textures, none of it seems to make a difference.

any ideas?

Is it running under Rosetta?

EDIT: This game runs under Rosetta. It is not universal for intel macs. You need to download the update to make it universal.http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=19031
