How do I restore apps only - everything but settings?

I have a bug with app store badges that will go away if I setup as a new phone but I didn't want to loose app content, saved game content, etc.

Thanks!

set up as new iPhone and then sync from the library. anything else and you probably need to use a third party utility

what C DM said would probably work.

reset settings (or was it network settings ) resets your wifi keychain. applecare told me that wifi passwords don't work with iCloud keychain like you think they would. and you would have to reenter all your wifi passwords that you have been collecting over the years

It's something that always bothered with iOS : not be able to backup / restore app data individually. It was possible before with third party tools (eg IExplorer) but it's not the case anymore.

Some apps support iCloud Drive to backup their data, but not all.

Well o_O

Ibackupbot is my savior

you know whats really cool about ibackupbot??? when you click on "more info" it will give you the battery
condition of your iPhone, and you don't even need to go to the genius bar to get it!!

it will spit out #s for the max capacity ( when the phone was new ) and max charge and charge cycles

max charge / max capacity * 100 gives you your wear level.

if it says something like 500 cycles or less or 1000 cycles or less and 80 % or lower, you know you need a new iPhone battery and its time for apple to give you one if your warranty is good

with my macbook i only get full charge capacity and i have to look up the specifications to get the full capacity when new, but the ibackup bot on the iPhone is different and it seems to give u all the info u need

Wow I didn't know that. That's a neat feature.

you can reset more than just network settings. There's an all settings as well. That might actually be enough to fix the issue without a full restore. Unless of course the issue is a bug in the actual iOS. That won't likely be fixed until you get the betas off your stuff
