Very strange list... with lots of popular choices for the tourist market. I wonder if a tour operator or Expedia is behind this?

Where the Middle Eastern wonders are? There was a recent exhibition of aerial archaeological photographs at the British Museum which really blew the mind in terms of what was achieved by civilisations in Syria, Iran, Iraq and mid-Africa.

Apparently it's a 'for profit organisation' that's behind it, in the hope of making a bob or two it seems. Personally, I'm quite happy with the current Seven Wonders as they stand – well, only the Pyramids still stand but you know what I mean. They've been great enough to be considered Wonders for however long, so I think they'll be alright for a while yet.

If I had to pick seven favourite Wonders of my own though, I'd have to go for Stevie Wonder, Alf Ramsey's Wingless Wonders, Golden Wonder Crisps, Wonder Woman, The Wonder Years, Small Wonder and The Wonder Of You. ;)
