I recently got my iphone changed and it turned out to be the new iBoot hence tethered mode, I've followed the same process, blackra1n and here are the differences I've noticed.

  1. Lost Wifi. So installed a patch on Cydia to get it back.
  2. Lots of Call Drops. The phone is totally unreliable. Note: the service level is at its max 3G.
  3. Random Loss of Signal, then searching.

My previous iphone was perfect. didn't have to install any patch to make wifi work and no call drops. This gets me to believe that there might be something in the iboot that causes these new issues.

I'll wait for the dev teams unlock and test that scanerio.

I would restore it and run it unjailbroken for a while to see if you have the same issues. Could be the phone.

Why didn't I think of that. I rebooted and the calls now don't seem to drop. Just had a 35 minute call and not a single drop. I'll keep an eye out. If it drops, I'll do a clean restore and will check it again.
