I'm totally stumped here. I tried Mac OS Extractor and now I'm using SFOTT, but I cannot get this to work.
I tried running SFOTT before, and it said I was good to go (although there were a couple failed actions in the script). Then I try to boot to my Yosemite installation partition, and I couldn't.
So I tried again so I could see if there was any error information...
It just shows a bunch of errors. I have not modified anything at all. Note, this isn't everything that I could see, like if I were to try and write the installation partition (not sure that's the correct terminology here, but I'm referring to the final step on this program), I'm sure there would be more problems to come up. However, this is what I caught.
This is what I get when I first open SFOTT:
Working directory /tmp/SixtyFourOnThirtyTwo exists
Working directory /tmp/SixtyFourOnThirtyTwo exists
Moving to working directory /tmp/SixtyFourOnThirtyTwo
zip is here but icon is not here, unzipping icon
ditto: Couldn't read PKZip signature
And when I try to create patch:
Select a Step : 1
Download boot.efi from Tiamo - Macrumors
check if Tiamo's boot.efi is there

Why are all these files missing? Am I totally missing a step after reading how to do this several times, or is there a problem with my computer? I'm running a Macbook 3,1 (A1181 Late 2007) on OS X 10.7.3 Lion. Recent install of Lion (a couple days old after messing up the boot.efi files when I was attempting to use macOS Extractor) so it's not like I've messed with any setting that could cause an issue.
Anybody know what I can do? I'm totally lost at this point, and I'd really like to get this computer running Yosemite.
