Since updating on 11.0.1 we have the top half of the screen shadowed.

Has anybody seen that?

Yes. Happens on my iPhone 6., when I rotate phone sideways. Only way to fix it is to totally shut down and screen returns to normal.

Is that an Apple or third-party screen?

Yeah, I was going to ask that same question. iOS 11 has a well documented problem with certain aftermarket screens. Version 11.0.3 largely addresses that issue so I would certainly try upgrading to that version to see if it solves your problem. I take it that this was not a problem prior to updating to iOS 11.

I have written up a detailed article on this very problem. You can find a link in my profile (hopefully I can say that!?!) if your curious to learn more about this issue.
