Hello all,
I wanted to ask you if the new OS is stable now and it is safe to upgrade from Yosemite. I am using a maxed out version of the latest Retina MacBook Pro 15''. My current system is working great, so I do not have any real need to move to El Capitan, it is just a matter of using the latest system. Thank you for your suggestions!

If you have a good working backup, don't mind taking the chance that it might have hiccups on your system and want to run the latest operating system then go for it. My machine is running fine on El Capitan but everyone's mileage may vary.

One can never truly call it stable an operating system. Some people always experience problems while others are fine. I fall under the latter camp. Apple has chosen to release it out into the world so it would seem that it complies with they're quality standards whatever those may be. If your unsure I just wouldn't do so since you'll still receive security updates for years to come on Yosemite just fine. And besides having a good working backup solution is always a must for any computer setup one may have, which if yo do so, makes it a moot point wether it's stable enough for you since you'll be able to revert back if it's not. Hope it helps.
