Share Audio between AirPods and Apple Lightning EarPods?

I wanna watch a Movie on Netflix or Disney Plus.

my friend has AirPods but I only have lightning connected EarPods.Any way we can both listen in on the movie playing at the same time?
Or are 2 AirPods required?

Just looking at the support info about it, it looks like audio sharing is limited to bluetooth, wireless devices only...
