Share iTunes library with multiple Apple IDs

My wife joined the apple family with a new iPhone and iPad. She has her own Apple ID for things like FaceTime but our iTunes is all on our iMac which is under my Apple ID. Can I share the library with her so she can sync her IPhone and iPad for things like music and movies?

I've read a few articles online but figure this is the best place to ask!

Yes you can. I have my own Apple ID for iCloud and use my parents for iTunes. You just have to sign in to each in their respective settings places in iOS.

Thanks. I figured it would be easiest just to use one account for iTunes instead of trying to copy everything whenever there was a change.

We have 3 difference accounts on one iTunes. You just have to go under the "store" and authorize the computer with both iTunes accounts.

It is entirely appropriate to use a single "family" Apple ID for all Apple "Store" purchases (MAS, iOS App Store, iTunes, iBooks, et cetera) and another "personal" Apple ID for iCloud (Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendars, et cetera).

In fact iOS 7 makes the distinction quite clearly:

• Settings > iCloud
• Settings > iTunes & App Store

This is how me and my wife do it. We each have our own separate Apple ID for iCloud, messages, facetime, mail, notes, reminders etc, etc. Then we share a family Apple ID for all iTunes and various Apple store purchases. Works really well.
