How do I share my legacy iTunes playlists with family members? I added my wife as a family member, and from her Mac I can see music associated with my name (these are purchased/downloaded tracks, not the Apple Music subscription service), but I don't see the playlists I've created in the past.

Is there an Apple article on how to see/use these old playlists? It seems 98% of what I search for returns hints on the subscription service.

Thanks,

John

Are you playlist stored locally ( on your computer) or in the cloud? If stored locally I had to share/allow access my music folder. Since then I now have a local LAN network server that holds all my music, videos, and shared files. You can also use iCloud if you don't exceed you storage limit or buy more storage. Its been several years since I set this up but anytime my daughter creates a new playlist it pops up in my list.

The files originally were on one computer, but they are now sync'd with iCloud. I see an option to download my _music_ to my wife's computer -- but I haven't seen the playlists.

The actual music files are one issue, the real issue for you is your music library. You need to move your entire library to the shared location and point the app to that location. Go to the Music tab, select setting, then files and point to your shared location.
