Weird one here, I just picked up a new Apple TV and started getting the media files on my Mac mini (had been using Boxee previously) into the iTunes library so that I could share them onto the Apple TV. I had ripped in full DVD iso images to play in Boxee for my library, so I ripped a few mp4's for the Apple TV using Handbrake and imported them into the iTunes library. I went into the details to fix the name, add the description and artwork, and it's all there when you "Get Info", but when you look in iTunes in Cover Flow it shows no artwork at all. When I then access through the Home Sharing on Apple TV, it also will not show the artwork - just shows the opening frame of the video like it would if there was no artwork at all.

Sounds like it's more of an iTunes deal, since I can't see the artwork that's there in Cover Flow (though I can see it in the other list views). Any ideas? I'd like to be able to see the movie poster artwork when sharing libraries to the Apple TV.

I had a similar issue although I never checked the artwork in coverflow. I had to disconnect my ATV2 from my network, restart it, then reconnect it then all the movie artwork showed up fine and has ever since *knock on wood*.

Did that and boom, suddenly it works perfectly - that seemed to do it. Thanks for the tip, I never would have thought to try that. :)
