iPhone Shared Notes Notifications

Where I am
I use Notes, and have a Shared Note with a friend.
My notifications for Notes are on. However, when my friend updates\adds items to the Note, I do not get a notification.

However, if I open Notes at some stage, I will then get a notification that the Shared Note was updated. Rather odd...
