I've got a HP 2110 MFP at home being shared by my Beige G3. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, the printer stops being shared, without even being seen by anything else on the network. The only way to print from my laptop when that happens is to physically walk across the room, and plug in the USB cable from the printer to my tibook (I know, I'm lazy... that's why I got an airport tho.) Anyone got any ideas why the printer disappears?
Oh yeah, and inexplicably, it will be available later. Without changing anything.
here's the setup -
cable modem -> 10/100 hub
hub to G3 & Airport Base Station
G3 set for internet sharing & printer sharing
firewall is off for now, because of this (don't tell anyone
)
