iCloud Sharing 50GB iCloud storage?

When was the ability to share iCloud storage for the 50GB tier introduced? Is it part of the iOS 15/iCloud+ improvements?

I only use about 30GB and my son needs about 6GB, so I was reluctant to either him 50GB, but it seems that it can now be shared. I did not see this documented anywhere.

For documentation, this support document about iCloud+ family sharing was updated on 9/20/21 and includes the 50GB plan in the description:

Yep, with the introduction of iCloud+ This was great for me too, only need 50 to share so signed up as soon as I noticed.
