I would like to do this but it will only work on Microsoft with word. Is there a way that you can post it with pages and let the other person decide how it is downloaded? PDF, Word or what ever.

If you have iWork '09, and I understand your question properly, you can do iWork.com and set a password as well. It will give viewers option to download PDF/Word/Pages
