So I'm having a discussion with a coworker and don't have a Mac to verify this.

The argument is, can a Mac that is connected to a Samba Share on a linux device share the storage to another Mac?

ie.
Linux (SMB Server) -> Mac (os x server) <- Mac (end user)

Maybe, but why?

You would have to try it out, but in my head I don't see any particular reason why you mount the Linux smb to /Volumes and then setup an afp or smb share for that volume. (Or create a symlink to it in another share)

(if it doesn't work, there are good reasons)
