Sharing apps between devices

Hey all, question for anyone that knows... I just got an iPhone and gave my dad my itouch, can I still sync the touch with my iTunes and put recently purchased apps on both devices, or will iTunes recognize that there already installed somewhere? Thanks in advance!

You can have them on multiple devices just fine.
The apps are allowed to be on up to 5 computers that are authorized with your iTunes account. You can then sync any device with these 5 computers. As long as the computer is authorized, then you can download and sync the apps. If he wants to sync on his own computer and use his own iTunes account. He can still do that. You'll just have to log in, authorize his computer, download the apps, and then log out.
