Sharing Calendar w someone not on my appleID

My daughter has her own iPod and i would like to share a calendar i have with her. I found some instructions on how to do this, but even though the calendar show up under her iCloud calendars the actual events are not showing in her calendar.

Here are the steps i used to share the calendar (see below in quotes) . After performing these steps it asked for the email of the person i was going to share with and i sent the invite to her. She accepted it and like i said it shows in her list of iCloud calendars.

"Click the calendar in the top left corner of the iCal window, ctrl click the calendar you want to share and choose share from the list of options that appears."

I setup all sharing via iCloud.com web interface. It works better that way.

I accepted on her behalf on the iCloud website, so your suggesting that i sign as me and start the share and then sign on under her and accept it there. I will try that.
