Hi Guys,

I am really new to this all so please forgive my naivety here!

I run a small business with a friend and we always both work from home individually. We make music for living and we need to share a single accessable storage space for our samples and project files.

We have wasted alot of time swapping projects and updating each others sample libaries so they are mirrored, so we want to invest in a solution which will enable us to access a cental storage space. The required space is Space 1TB-5TB and to start with we would only be Users 2, which may expand in the future.

Budget wise, we would not like to spend over 1000 euros.

What kind of options do we have? Any help would be really appreciated!

The easiest solution may be to invest in two storage devices such as Netgear ReadyNAS Pro or similar, and use any replication/synchronisation features they may have to synchronise each others files (I know some of those products have sync/replication features so you'll need to do a little research to be sure).

I think cloud storage may be too pricey for the amount of storage space you are looking to use, and co-locating a server may be more hassle than it's worth for a small company.

Have you looked at Synchronisation software like ChronoSync? I appreciate that it may be a slow process to gain the initial sync, but should make keeping the files in sync after that realitively easily.
