Sharing discs?

hey im a newbie to this forum and i have a couple questions about the mac mini, i know it doesnt have an optical drive (Drove me nuts! almost made it a no-go for me!!!!) but then i remembered that the mac book air has a program or somthing that lets it share optical drive with any other mac on the network so you could copy CD's and such, does the new mac mini do the same thing? or do i have to USB everything from now on?
