Have a 24" 1920x1200 matte Dell monitor I love, hanging off of its built in 4-port USB hub are a Keychron M3 Mini mouse receiver and a Drop Tokyo 60 mechanical keyboard.

Right now it's connected via DisplayPort and USB 2.0 to a Core i7 3.6 GHz 16GB 1TB SSD 2012 Mac Mini, that's also on Ethernet and connected (3.5 mm) to a subwoofer/speakers and via USB to a Schiit Hel+ DAC/Amp. It's OCLP hacked to run Sequoia. It mostly works great and I'll leave it running as a machine to remote into, but on days when I remember to bring a laptop with me, I'd like to be able to easily connect the laptop and use the keyboard, monitor, mouse, and speakers with it.

The laptops are a MacBook Air M2 base model and a MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro, both have USB-C / Thunderbolt.

At home I have a Mac Pro 2010 connected to a USB 3.0 / HDMI KVM, and a Thunderbolt 2 dock (and 3/4 to 1/2 adapter from Apple) that's also connected to the same KVM; Thunderbolt to a laptop (including a couple of older TB1/TB2 mid-201x pre-Retina Airs), and power via a USB C PD port I hook up either a MagSafe 2, MagSafe 3, or USB C cable to for power. The KVM has a few USB-A ports that are connected to another Dell monitor, a USB 2.0 hub, and both a Loxjie speaker amp and a DAC card installed in a Schiit Jotunheim 2.

I'd like to replicate something like what I have at home, at the office, but maybe a bit lighter weight / less expensive. What would be my best approach? Are there dual input Thunderbolt docks that can switch between inputs?

ETA: Looks like the Mac mini 2012 won't export video over Thunderbolt in this type of setup, so it looks like I'm going the USB 3/Displayport KVM ($50), Thunderbolt dock ($100) route for the office setup.
