Hi,

I have an Imac and Ibook connected wirelessly by airport extreme. I was wandering if it is possible to store your music and photos in one place so that it can be accessed and modified (CRUD) by both machines and across multiple user log ins (I have two user log ins for each machine).

Any advice would be really appreciated

Kindest Regards

i think what will work is to store everything in HD/Users/Shared/ on one of the computers. In iTunes, you can specify where the library is located. In iPhoto, you can either (a) create a symlink to the library and put that link in each user's iPhoto folder, or (b) use iPhoto Buddy to specify the location of the library. Then you'd just want to be sure that the other computer is connected to the other computer through afp (and be sure to connect to the hard drive, not a particular user account).

I haven't tried the iTunes sharing thing before; but I seem to recall reading that works; although... I'm not sure what happens with iTMS stuff and iPods. Whatever you do, be sure you have good backups just in case something goes wrong.
