My wife and I both have Iphones that share a common Apple account and we have them configured so that any photos taken by either of us will show up on the photo-stream on both phones. Yesterday we bought her an Ipad mini and also set it up similarly on the same Apple account, and it successfully puts photos taken from it on the photo-stream and also receives photos taken on our Iphones on it's photo-stream as well. Only thing is, her Ipad mini does not display the numerous photos that had been previously taken before we purchased the Ipad Mini taken on her photo-stream. Is there any way we can refresh her Ipad Mini so that it will display the older photos on photo-stream as well? Thanks for any suggestions.

It sounds like you’re not using iCloud Photo Library, which does what you want.

Photostream was launched before iCloud Photo Library and and aimed at syncing recent photos not your whole library.

Thank you for the response, I understand. Photostream will work just fine on my wife's Ipad from this point forward. Thanks again.
