Long time Mac user, but only just learned that by sharing a drive (not OS drive) with another Mac doesn't provide full read/write for all subsequent folders
Can someone please let me know if I am just doing something wrong, or if my expectations are incorrect. I want to share my secondary drive with another Mac Pro to read/write to. I don't anticipate frequent accessing simultaneously, but it may occur.
I shared the drive with the specific admin user on the other Mac Pro, with read&write permission. The other Mac can fully read all sub folders, but cannot write to anywhere on the drive EXCEPT for the root shared folder. Is this the way sharing is designed to function? How should I best approach this challenge?
