I've read a couple places that the edge of the MB can be somewhat sharp if you're using it on your lap. I'm considering buying one and I'm curious to hear from some owners about this.

No offense, but you're in Sunnyvale; couldn't you just make it out to a few of the Apple stores and see for yourself in person? Everyone is different; what might feel unacceptably sharp to one person might be perfectly acceptable to the next.

It cuts your vegetables :D

Good to hear that the new intel laptops can go beyond keeping coffee warm and roasting nuts.

Wow, nice to meet some negative people. Or not.

FYI - Yes, I've been to the Apple store to seem them. Looked at the edge because two different people from Macworld made comments that they had found it extremely annoying while using it, especially when on a lap. Since I am considering buying one and use my currently PB on my lap most of the time.

Since I can't take a MB from the Apple store and go sit down with it on my lap, I thought there might be some kind people who could either verify this or put it away as just another thing from the media.

Thanks though?

it's a little sharper than it needs to be, but it's certainly not going to bite in to your skin, much less actually cut you. it's something apple could have designed a bit better, but really a non-issue.

I never even noticed the sharp edge on my macbook until someone on here pointed it out. It's not in a place where you usually casually rub against it, and it's not that sharp anyway (plastic knives from fast food places are sharper)
