Hey everyone, im running 10.4.2, and i've been experiencing problems keeping sherlock open. It just unexpectedly quits at times or won't load at all. I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this or was this problem addressed?

Hi, I haven't used it much recently, but it seems to be working okay for me at present on 10.4.2. One of the major possibilities is that you have a corrupted preference file. Try deleting the following files from your library folder (everything is within ~/library)

caches/sherlock (whole folder)
preferences/sherlock (whole folder)
preferences/com.apple.sherlock.plist (file)

It is safe to delete all of these files; they will be replaced when you next start Sherlock. However, you *should* delete them while Sherlock is *not* running.

yea, it worked as a temporary fix, but now its persistent, and i don't think resetting all the info everytime is convienent. so, no one else is experiencing this? Its like closing randomly and won't open up some channels. All my other programs run fine and i've verified disk permissions, just sherlock's acting wonky

it would freeze up on the applecare thing, but i did some researching for a bit and figured out from others that after deleting the prefs and cache's of sherlock, locking the web foundation folder helps and so far its working, the app's working fine now, thanks.
