I just picked up the TuffShields and would recommend them to anyone looking for a screen protector. Don't waste ur money on the $15 PowerSupport films that they sell at the Apple Stores. They only come with a front and a back. You can get the TuffShields at Walmart and it is $15 for a pack of 5, and the quality is great. Also, they are not too difficult to apply, and if u happen to mess up, u have plenty of extras. I applied one and had a small piece of dust under the corner, so I just decided to break out another one and re-apply. It looks great. You practically cannot tell it is on except for around the home button and the edges if u do not have them covered by a case.

Glad to see everyone sharing their experiences with different brands and variants of protection for the Touch. But, I think I've decided to go for the Best Skind Ever, which is only $7.99 because Invisible Shield is 3x the price and shipping to my house would be $15.

Been using my Touch for a few days now and the front seems to be holding up strong, with no scratches at all, but the back has gotten some unpreventable scratches...So, should I even bother using the front shield that comes with that Skin package? My Touch is usually in my jacket pocket.

BSE, invisible shield, iSkin, they're all the same. Just pick one of those and I'm sure you'll be happy.

I've had an InvisibleShield on my 1st gen Nano for two years, and there still isn't a single scratch on it. I throw it in my pocket with a zippo and a stainless steel money clip, every day - after two years, still not a single scratch. ANYWHERE. I've also demo'd the InvisibleShield probably ten-twenty times over the past two years by mashing my keys into it rather aggressively - still, it's flawless.

Needless to say, I already ordered one for my new iTouch (it arrived yesterday and I'll finally be able to put it on this Friday) ... I've been nervous using the iPod without it, because I'm so used to the level of protection it provides.

Covercase Review

I had many cases for iPods from iskin or Speck, after I got the new iPod touch last week, I went to covercase.com based on some reviews here and iLounge. I got the Snake leather case with suede leather case for the ipod touch. For under $20 it's simply the best there is. They had the iSkin as well but it was on back order at the time. Good luck!:apple:

Whatever you do, DON'T order from covercase. They pulled a bait and switch on me with defective products then didn't reply to any emails for weeks claiming they were "moving offices". Do a search of the forums here and all you'll find are "newbie" userid's posting 1 or 2 and only positive reviews of covercase, and then these userids never post again. Does that sound reputable to you?

so nobody has any good reports on this case?

Link did not work for me, but I assume its the incase silicone sleeve aka "protective cover." I just purchased that case and I am very happy with it. I liked it because it maintained the clean look of the touch while covering the scratch prone metallic backing. Fits snug and secure, only problem I see is that around the dock connector the front edge is slightly thin and therefore flimsy. I would recommend it.

I use my own skin on the back, made of a cling type material, and an Exim screen protector on the front.
