Shift+r not working on Apple keyboard

I have googled this issue and most people have a Mac , I do not. I've been using my apple keyboard with my iPad. Just recently I noticed I can't get a capital R by using the shift button the left side of the keyboard. Everything else works except when I try the capital R. Lowercase r works fine. The shift works fine by itself. The shift button on the right side will give me a capital R , as well as using the caps lock. Is there a way to fix this or does anyone know what the issue might be?

I tested it and with me only the first r is lower case. If I keep pressing r, the rest is in capital
