I just got my new shinza for my mbp today.

First of all, the packaging says it is for the powerbook, but customer service says its really for the mbp. Either they lied online about the new case for the mbp or they are idiots for not getting the packaging right.

Also, the case still had indents from my fingers when i sqeezed it over five hours ago. To make things worse (and the case less attractive) the top right part of the case is warped compared to the rest of it and slants upwards.

Should I return it or does everyone have these problems?

Probably getting a booq or a tom bihn if I return it.

Would you be able to post some picture? I'm sure it would be helpful to the rest of us looking for MBP cases/sleeves.

As for you problem, I would call/email customer service. See what they can do for you.

That's disappointing (especially since my shinza is due to arrive tomorrow). But if it's protective and semi-hard (like the more expensive booq case - $55 + s/h - yikes!), I don't really care how the case looks. But if it's not protective (like the tucano sleeves), then I'll be sad.

Got my Shinza today. It's fine. I guess having low expectations makes for a pleasant surprise. It looks cool and it is protective. It did say on the packaging that it's for a 15.2" Powebook but it fits great (maybe the PB was a little loose in this case). It is, however, a little big for my Targus backpack.

my macbook pro doesnt fit snugly inside and if you do the measurements, the interior measurements are way different than what it says online. I am returning this case as soon as I get information on how to because I am pissed off that my computer slides around and that the information they said is wrong. take the measurements yourself and you will see its not what they state online

This is why I always recommend STM's Rebound sleeve. It is simply superior to other sleeves like it. I have their sleeve for the 15" PB. It fits my 1.67 like a glove; my MBP will not fit in it as it is custom designed for the 15" PB. That is the difference between these sleeves and the rest.

Unfortunately, STM is slow on getting a MBP Rebound out the door.

i have a tucano second skin for my Powerbook, its perfored well so far.....i cant help thinking that these 'wetsuit cases' are all the same. i cant notice the difference for sure! if it's labelled for the powerbook, then it must be for the powerbook...im my experience, sales reps are no good at this sort of stuff, combined with the idea that they are always right and you are just a dumb customer. damn it grinds my gears.
