I think another question to consider regarding the shipments of stock to each store is the ratio of 4gb vs. 8gb models each store will receive? For example, if an AT&T gets 40 phones would that be 20 4gb phones and 20 8gb phones? Or some other kind of breakdown?
I am worried that there will be an abundance of 4gb models out there because I am sure by now Apple has gotten word from consumers that 4gb is just too small.
Does anyone think that Apple - in order to get rid of inventory that they may not want anymore now that they see most people want an 8gb model or higher - will make the 8gb models more scarce and send out more 4gb models? The logic being that those people desperate for an iPhone will eventually just breakdown and buy an 4gb model since they can't find an 8gb model. Apple ends up being able to bleed down their 4gb models so they can focus on a new line-up of 8gb models and up.
