Ok guys...i dunno but i ordered a macbook like a week ago, and from past three days i am seeing a shipping exception status on my FedeX. It says package is picked up , but then there is no "Left Origin" . I have been searching this forums, and have encountered many threads like this. Is this some type of shipping scam? My Ipod reached in time. This is what it says...

Package received after FedEx cutoff

Package data transmitted to FedEx

My wife's MacBook had the same thing happen, it sat in China with a "shipping exception" for two days, and then suddenly appeared as arriving in Alaska. I had the same message about not making the FedEx cut off time in China. From there, it was less than 24 hours until it arrived at our house in Connecticut. So it took about 3 days from the time I received the tracking number to get it in my hands. I wouldn't worry about it, it seems to be normal.

Also, my iPod that I ordered at the same time arrived the very next day after I placed the order. The printer came the same day as the MacBook but shipped via ground from California and came on a different delivery truck. Thankfully the MacBook arrived first, it would have been much more dissapointing to have a new printer arrive before the computer!

LOL, At first i thought they were shipping from connecticut. Then i was like Shozou...doesn't sound to be a u.s. city. Is their International shipping reliable? Considering the beating packages tack tracing half of the world. I hate to order online, they take so long to arrive, and we don't have an Apple Store here in New Mexico. Rumours are, there is one coming pretty soon. :D

I've ordered 3 computers from Apple online in the last two years and never once had a problem with their shipping. They come really well packed, I always save all the packing in case I want to to sell the computer later on. It's always frustrating though, you get the order confirmation with an estimated arrival date like 2 weeks in the future, so you wait and wait, then you get the e-mail saying your order has finally shipped, then you check the FedEx tracking number every 30 minutes just hoping it has made it to the next location. The best is the last day when it's status is "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". I always feel like a kid peering out the window waiting for Santa....

i wouldn't worry much about the shipping. apple knows the beating a laptop will take during travel, and they compensate as such (just remember - they ship and deliver MANY computers on a daily basis, and there aren't ANY threads about how new hardware has been arrived DOA!). As for shipping times: the new MBs will take a few days.. just be patient!

ok i think my patience is running its toll. I still have the same shipping exception status even today. Should i call up apple and find out whats going on?
