Shipping time for a BTO Imac?

Hi,

I want to purchase a new BTO 2.8 or 3.06 Imac. Changes like HDD upgrade wireless mouse/keyboard.
I am going on vacation the 26th of July for three weeks and I'll be able to order it Friday the 11th or Saturday the 12th of July. I really want to have it before I go on holiday.

So, How long will it take for a Imac to ship from the day it's ordered.

P.S. I live in The Netherlands, I don't know if it makes much of a difference with the US, not for the UK I think.

I don't know if it's any help to you at all, but I ordered mine a few hours ago, from the UK online store, and have been given a delivery date (to my door) of 23-24th July '09, so that is 2 weeks. The shipping date they quoted me is 15th July '09.
 
mine took like 4 days, shipped from Shenzeng. no delay at all. you will be so pleased when you do receive it, i know i was!:)

I am in the uk and a BTO imac took 11 days to arrive. I don't know how typical that is.

What the hack, they say it takes 8-9 days so ship it excl. assembling?
 
My experience from Italy: ordered a BTO 3.06 Alu iMac on the Apple online store last June 28th, shipped on July 1st and happily delivered last monday morning July 7th.

The thing is with ordering a BTO is that the delivery time is just an estimation. You NEVER know when you are going to get your Mac. It can be anything from 3 days to 4 weeks. Still if it works then it is well worth the wait.
 
Well i ordered my BTO iMac morning 20th June. It was sent 27th arrived 7th July.

From Czech to Spain.
 
This morning I ordered a BTO 24" 2.8Ghz model.

It's estimated shipping date is the 16th July and then the delivery should be 24th July.

My first :apple: so I'm thrilled and apprehensive at the same time.

I want to thank everyone that's posted in the last month or so as I've read practically every post!

EDIT: I am in the UK by the way.
