Am running an Adobe classroom environment, and the shockwave plugin is consuming a giant amount of cpu resources... Have the latest plugin and the latest Firefox... Not being much in a google search that sounds like this, though there are some older hits related to it. Anyone got an idea? Will also go to the Adobe community website in a bit and post a question as well. TIA

That's one of the reasons Steve Jobs railed against Adobe Flash. FWIW any site or software that's still using Flash/Shockwsve is outdated. Flash's "end of days" is set for the end of 2020.

You might want to try it under Safari and see if it's any better.

Sadly, am having issues with Adobe on Safari, so can't actually get into their 'classroom' environment. But do not have the issue when I 'can' get into Adobe meetings with Safari... Sigh.

Isn't flash still built into Chrome? I don't deal with installing flash in any way on my Mac, but if I run into a sight that wants flash I usually use the Open Page With > Chrome under the Develop menu. Haven't had to do it in a while, so Google may have pulled flash support out of Chrome by now as well.

Just this. Flash has sucked more cycles and battery power than it had any right to. That said, have you tried refreshing the tab/window? I know that's suboptimal, especially if you're in the middle of a course. But perhaps at a good save/check point.

Also, do you have the latest version installed?
