Shoot em up and pinball games for Mac?

Does anyone have any good recommendations on Shoot em up and Pinball-games for the Mac...?

Either retro or newer games...?

No idea about Pinball, but for Shoot-Em-Ups I can't see anyone needing anything other than plain old MAME

How do I get to start the games? ;-)

Do I have to download files to each of the games?

Getting these kinds of error messages when I try to start them:

ERROR: required files are missing, the game cannot be run.

Yeah MAME requires the ROMs from the original arcade games to work. They're not hard to find, but obviously nobody is likely to post direct links here.
