Hi,

I’ve been wondering for a while, can the latest iPhone shoot in RAW with a 3rd party app like lightroom or procam, and take live or depth data as well?

In other words is there any way to get a live raw photo with depth map for portrait modes, or is shooting raw strictly limited to standard photography data?

Another side question is when shooting raw can you use optical zoom and optical image stabilation?

Thanks,

Tanagra (not really)
I can’t confirm first hand, but it would appear from the Procam 6 description that it talks about having the ability to work with depth mask. Not sure on the other two questions, but I would guess that OIS and optical zoom should work as expected. You could always email the developer and ask them. Many of them are good at responding.

So no apparent support from ProCam, but confirmed to be theoretically possible! Feature requested.

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Depth data can potentially be embedded in the RAW file, but we don’t currently support this option.
Yes, optical stabilization and optical zoom can be used when shooting RAW.

The Depth Mask shooting mode in Lr CC works with HEIC; I suspect it is probably using that as a container with images from both cameras, although not sure.

RAW (DNG) works with either the long or short lens, and with stabilization. Those are hardware-based. At least in Lr CC. In Camera M if you use dual camera mode it will only do HEIC.
