shop in US apple store outside the US

I'm planning to buy a new imac i7 2.93GHz, but as you all know, they're damn expensive. So in Belgium they cost 2076 euros, in the US they are the same amount of cash, but then in dollars. The exchange rate is rather low, so if i buy my imac in the US store, it'll only be 1590 euro. These prices are both with student discount.

Now I have a couple of questions:

1) The obvious: is this possible?
2) How about my warranty?
3) I'm eligible for student discount in Europe, but does that count in the US too? You have to fill in your school, but do they check it?
4) Free ipod touch?

I hope you guys answer my questions (and save me a free HTC legend).

No, it is not possible. And even though it would you have to keep in mind, that there is sales tax to the us prices. And for goods that are imported from outside the EU you have to pay VAT (21%) in Belgium. I do not think it would be worth even if possible.

Not possible.. I'm also from Belgium and i too have thought about it. But it's not possible because of so many reasons, with the most important being the import tax you pay for a new product.

there is a way , complicated but a way
if you know someone who can get it with a student discount and in a us state without sales tax (there are a couple as not all 51 states have a sales tax ) then you need someone who moves from us to europe with the us army, airforce or navy ,as their housemove containers are not getting checked by european customs .....

i know it works as thats how i got a harley davidson a couple years ago from the usa to germany ,saving me several thousand

I'm not sure if it's possible with an iMac... but you can go to USA with a macbook for example (bought in europe) and return with it and you won't have to pay any custom taxes etc.
So... when you're coming back from the US how do they know if you bought the computer there or if you already went there with it?
I think it could be possible to tell the customs officers that you took the iMac to US with you Of course it would have to be unpacked and look used
