Shortcut to connect VPN when WiFi connects at certain location

Hi All,

Is this possible?

Shortcut to connect VPN when device connects to WiFi in a certain location?

I’d like the location to cover an entire country that I’m about to travel to.

Ideally it would then disconnect the VPN when WiFi disconnects.

If possible, some screenshots of how to do it would be greatly appreciated!

Using a VPN doesn't cause any stress on the battery at all.

I agree with @kitKAC, no downside to simply leaving VPN on all the time.

However, it’s probably possible to simply set up a shortcut to connect VPN when WiFi is on, and disconnect when off. Then only enable the shortcut when you’re in that country.

I run a Pihole and PiVPN at home and use Wireshark to have a VPN connection to my home when I am not on my home Wifi. Either host your own Wireguard VPN or find a VPN provider that will support a bring-your-own VPN App (because on-demand works in Wireguard or in a managed device mode).
