Hi

My 5s is pretty old and the battery is draining down veeeery fast, so I only use positioning while using Waze.

But it's really dull to turn it on and off all the time.

I didn't find in preset features of assistive touch option for the positioning. Is there a way to add the function as a custom feature?

Just go into settings > privacy > location services and set GPS so its only allowed for Waze and nothing else. As far as i'm aware without jailbreaking there is no way to shortcut turning it on and off unless one of the many shortcut type quick launch apps lets you do it.

I would if I drive 24 hours a day. Since I don't, I want to turn it off.
Another idea?

bransoj's solution is the best. It'll only turn on location services when using Waze. There is no other way to get what you want without jailbreaking.

If you fail to see how that is a solution, you fail to understand how the location services work on iOS. Those are your only options. If you don't like them, then you can continue to do what you're doing as of now.

I've opened the assistive touch for me yesterday only and so really "green" with.
I was looking for a solution to make kinda "shortcut" for the positioning.
So I saw the AT can control a lot of phone's function, but the positioning. That's the reason I've ask for help.
So to remain it's on, for me, is NOT a solution. If there's no any - well. No proble
Why isn't it a solution? Location services would only be used when you use Waze and that's it. Isn't that what you mentioned you want?

But it won't remain on. The iPhone will only turn it on when you open Waze. Every other time you use your iPhone, the location services will be turned off.

Cause I've asked if there a way to customize the assistive touch, not how to leave Waze only. BTW, waze uses pisitioning services ALWAYS

You seem to have brought up the reasoning being to only have Waze on and nothing else. If you didn't mention all that stuff about Waze then it probably wouldn't have gotten people to suggest Waze related solutions.[/QUOTE]

If you don't have an option to set it to "Only when using" and only have the Always option, you'll have to force quit the app when you're done with that. Waze can't always use the location when it isn't running. That or turn off background refreshing for Waze. These are literally your only options to get what you want.

This. Waze doesn't have the "when using" option. If you want to disable GPS, you will need to either always go in and enable Waze as necessary, or ONLY have Waze enabled, and force quit (double tap home, swipe up). Unfortunately this is the only option. What OP is asking, isn't possible.

Yeah, I know that. but anyway, if your leave it's ON and drop out Waze from memory, the battery loses it's capasity faster then if you turn it off at all.

Basically this:
here is no other way to get what you want without jailbreaking.
Short of that your options are either to go into Settings and do it from there or perhaps use Siri to do it.
