Shortcuts App in iOS 13

I'm sure most of you know that the Shortcuts app (formerly workflow until Apple purchased the company) is now baked into iOS which means it will have system level access and be more robust. I was exploring the app last night and I came across the automation section in the app.

I set a time triggered event of "every morning at 8:15am, get directions to work". In anticipation I was expecting the navigation app to open with directions to work at that time. What I got instead was a notification to run that shortcut.

Is this feature just not ready or does Apple really think "automation" means presenting the user with a prompt to click ok to?

Where? The only toggle is to enable or disable it. Enabling it just throws up a notification.

I would like to know this as well.

I thought automation meant to open and run by itself but alas I have to be prompted to manually trigger the Shortcut.

Tbh, I find that I mainly use the Shortcut extensions for Safari than anything else.

Hmm. The workflow I defined was pretty simple. At 8:15am open directions to work. This morning I didn’t even get the notification

I decided to finally have a try at this "great", "fantastic", shortcut feature.
I'm probably too logical when it comes at programming, because I'm of the old Pascal and Basic generation.
But, I was really puzzled, me too as the other user who posted in this thread, when I found out that my two simple shortcuts were not automatically launched at the time I set by the Automation; they only show a notification!
So I started searching over the we web and I found out this option "Ask before running". I must be blind, I thought... but not. I'm not blind: simply this option is not always available! Great! Very clever.
It's available to automatically enable stupid actions like playing music, of course. But it is not to do such an important action like enable or disable the "Not disturb" mode.

Even if my screengrab shows my iOS set not in English, it's easy to recognize the screen itself.

Another great decision by Apple coders is that you can raise and low your very, very important music volume, but you can't control the ringer one (obviously, music is much more important in a telephone than music...).

Hey guys,

Need a small help here. Is there any shortcut which could make a note of all incoming and outgoing calls to the notes app or any dairy app with the details of the duration of call and the number etc..
