I am not entirely clear on how this works, and what it is capable of. Is this scenario possible?

Create a shortcut that will do the following:
- every Tuesday at 6:30am set an alarm in the clock app
- display traffic conditions for a given route
- display the top 3 things from my To Do List so it pops up on my home screen
- display whatever is on my calendar for the day so it pops up on my home screen
- order a coffee from Starbucks at a specific time so it will be ready for me to pickup
- later in the day at a specific time, show traffic conditions for a given route
- send a message to someone when I am at a specific location

Thanks

Short answer: no.

Slightly longer: no Starbucks integration yet. Bigger thing, Shortcuts require user to initiate, so, no location initiated shortcuts, nor time based.

If Shortcuts had location initiation, it would be more of value for me. I would like to have my phone's ringer to be silent once I arrived at work using Shortcuts.

Yep. Me too. The best thing right now that I can think of is to create a today button to start the “I’m at work” shortcut you create.

Maybe one day when Apple gives us more freedom in creating shortcuts.

Heck, just let us program our own iOS interaction. That would be pretty boss.
